Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
0) Empathy 2.28.1.1
1) Ubuntu 9.10
2) 2.28.1.1-0 ubuntu1
3) I expected the file to send to a user [a contact] who is using the Google talk chat program
3.1) I expected when I made a call to a user [a contact] who is using a Google talk chat program , for the "connecting" status at the lower left hand side of the window to change to "connected" when the user accepted the call
4) I reports that the user does not have file transfer abilities , while the normal Google chat program will tranfer
4.1) call status does no change from "connecting" to "connected" even when user accepts call ...

you have reported two bugs into one. when I tried sending file from empathy using gtalk the file was sent if the other user was also using empathy but if the other user was using an other OS gtalk client then the file was not send.
