Bug Description
Binary package hint: yelp
i'm not able to set the resolution any higher than 800x600. Im using Ubuntu 9.10 with an Nvidia 7300LE PCIe card with a ViewSonic VA1903wb LCD monitor
System info: Linux AMD 2.6.31-17-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 10 17:01:44 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux.
This is a fresh install with updates done.
Then I went into the system > preferences > appearance > visual effects menu, applied the "extra" option, the system searched and auto installed the NVidia driver. It asked to be rebooted, which I did. Now it only runs at 640x480, not even 800x600!!
The Nvidia Xserver settings panel is now installed but it only offers 640x480 or lower.
