Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

What I'm trying to do is install wine on ubuntu 9.1 Karmic Koala. I have tried multiple installation methods, Add/Remove program, Synaptic, and through the terminal. I am getting that same error message:

mark@mark-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get -f install wine

You're trying to install the jaunty package, from the look of it.
Try going to 'Software Sources' and deleting the http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/... entry then click 'Add' and enter ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa

Thank you. After some additional poking about, I finally got it to tell me that it wants universe on. After I turned that on, it installed fine. Now just to figure out how to run the programs/etc. within the Wine structure itself.

NOTE: System > Administration
Community-maintained open source software (universe) set to ON!

I would say that this closes the issue with Ubuntu working with Wine.
