Bug Description
Binary package hint: efax-gtk
I install "slmodem efax-gtk" on the latest Dapper.
I get the following in the results:
Setting up efax-gtk (3.0.7.0-1) ...
Setting up sl-modem-daemon (2.9.10+
Starting SmartLink Modem driver for: modem:1.
Creating /dev/modem symlink, pointing to: /dev/ttySL0.
(1) When I run efax-gtk, it does not work. (read-write errors, etc). The device is set to /dev/ttySL1 for some reason. The pop-up information says that the program's default is /dev/modem, which would have worked if it really were the default.
(2) The default sender's name is not my name.
(3) The default paper size is not my local paper size.
Since the first is a real problem and the others are wishlist-y, I can resubmit them.
I meant to say that the (ugly) fix to (1) for me was, in the "Settings" dialog, to change "ttySL1" to "modem".
