Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtk2-engines-qtcurve

Keyword field is disabled, no matter what I select. Thus rendering Linux DC++ quite unusable. I cannot search!! Is this related to the wannabe GTK style in Kubuntu? I'm using the defaults on Karmic.

ProblemType: Bug

Date: Sun Oct 4 18:17:54 2009
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10
NonfreeKernelModules: nouveau nvidia

 SHELL=/bin/bash
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-11.38-generic
SourcePackage: linuxdcpp
Uname: Linux 2.6.31-11-generic x86_64

This is essentially:

The bug above seemed to point to LinuxDC++ but the problem is really Kubuntu (with QTCurve being the default GTK+ engine). So I set up a new bug report to get this fixed by the right people.

This bug renders LinuxDC++ unusable. And may affect other GTK applications too and it is difficult to figure out by a normal user. While not a central application, still important to many I'm sure.

The author of QTCurve has already fixed the bug and plans to release 0.69 with the fix quite. This fix could be applied to the existing 0.68 too I'm told. I hope this fix still could be uploaded so that the problem would be gone in 9.10 final release. Not fixing the bug means regression :/
