Bug Description

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10 (Alpha 6 DVD)
Codename: karmic
Architecture: AMD64

Browsing the internet (with Firefox, Arora, Epiphany) is mostly very slow or non-responsive. Pages refuse to load no matter how many times I try to open them by clicking on hyperlinks or using the adress bar. I access the internet wirelessly, using a Linksys WRT54G router.

I didn't have this issue with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope AMD64. With this version of Ubuntu, internet access was extremely fast, as it should be (I have a 20Mbit internet connection).

I am having this as well within the i686 architecture but not to the extent as the bug description. I experience a very slow response time. I access internet wirelessly, using a Dynex DX-WGRTR v1000 router.

Experienced the same thing on an Eee PC 901 with both a fixed and wireless connectivity. I used the i686 architecture and one Netgear WGT624 v.3 router

I have this problem too. I have a Dell Mini 9 using the non-GPLed wireless driver. My wireless router is the Belkin F5D7234-4 v3 (01). This bug is no fun at all!

Same here.
Using a wired desktop 64 bit Ubuntu 9.10 beta.
Although, after enabeling ipv6 in firefox I can browse with the speed I'm used to.
But installing stuff from Ubuntu remains "slow".
I hope there will be a fix soon.

My wired connection is sometimes fast and sometimes extremely slow.
On my laptop (Acer Aspire 7730G) I'm using Firefox on 32 bit Ubuntu 9.10 beta (up-to-date, done the last updates using the Update Manager).
I have never encountered this problem in Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit.
