Bug Description

I would like to delete my account, but there doesn't seem to be a way.

We can't delete accounts without breaking all sorts of constraints - we could end up with unassigned bugs, unowned products, all sorts of mess.

Best you can do is remove your personal details if this is your goal.

So Canonical's approach to community is "Hotel California"? Once you're in, you're never allowed to leave?

I'll be keeping this in mind for any future dealings with Canonical.
