Bug Description

Hi,
I installed Karmic on a test machine (by taking a fresh Jaunty install and changeing all te 'jaunty' references in sources.list with 'karmic', including the ubuntuone ppa, and go through the process of udgrading). But I noticed that the ubuntuone client does not connect, and the orange ribbon does not appear in nautilus. Did I do something wrong? Or Is U1 not working in karmic yet?

Thanks.

Hi. Could you run "apport-collect -p ubuntuone-client 385237" please? I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to connect, or see the nautilus extension working (though if you installed and didn't restart nautilus, it would not be getting loaded there). The apport-collect command will attach logs so that we can more easily determine what is gong on. I've been running the client on Karmic without any issues.

The problem persists even after several reboots.

Hi,

There was an incompatibility with a pynotify version change that caused start problems for client revno 34. I've posted revno 38 to the BETA PPA. That revision contains a fix for the compatibility issue. It should become available as soon as the indexer sees the new package version.

Let us know if this corrects the problem.

THere was also an issue with python-configglue's karmic package not being correct. This has been resolved.
