Bug Description
There are two possible installation methods in Jaunty for the lpia architecture, neither one of which currently works on the dell mini 9.
There is a separate bug open related to my attempts to install Jaunty to my dell-mini using the alternate install CD for lpia.
I have also attempted to install with the lpia architecture using the MID USB image. My dell-mini boots off of that image and presents the MID user interface, but the touchpad is non-responsive. I have not been able to find a way to either correct the problem with the touchpad or navigate the interface without the touchpad. This means that I cannot attempt to run the installer.
This is not a problem with the Intrepid MID USB image. I am able to install Intrepid using that image, some minor problems with dialog size notwithstanding.

I think the problem is that there is no synaptics module for X11 in the image. I tried to modify the xorg.conf from a terminal to explicitly specify the synaptics driver for the touchpad. When I restart X, I can see an error on the screen indicating that the synaptics driver was not found. The MID image would be more useful if the synaptics driver were included.
