Bug Description

Doing bzr get, resulted in this error message:

$ bzr get http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/usplash/ubuntu usplash
bzr: ERROR: Invalid http response for http://bazaar.launchpad.net/%7Eubuntu-core-dev/usplash/ubuntu/.bzr/repository/packs/ca0b1ab8e0fa3d5fd48f25e49201d5dc.pack: Expected a boundary (_6LR=8=,ys)Bmyu/Oyn/) line, got ''

No idea what this means, but it upset bzr enough to quit.

Well, different numbers, but it turns out to be repeatable...

Think I'm probably at the wim of 'three.co.uk' on this one.

Got a more productive solution (other than ssh tunneling?).

Log into launchpad (bzr lp-login) and use bzr branch
lp:rest-of-url-here.

Paul, does Robert's suggestion work for you?

Marking the launchpad task as invalid based on Robert's comment. This doesn't seem to be a problem with LP.
Robert, is there anything we could do in the LP side that would fix this problem or maybe alleviate it?

Changed in launchpad:
status: New → Invalid

Every time we've investigated this we've found a broken HTTP server or
proxy; I know the LP datacentre ones are good, which does mean something
in the middle. We've filed bugs/fixed things for all the cases we've run
into - so for this case it really looks like either a new product [in
which case Paul should raise a support ticket there] or an old version
of a known product like squid :)
