Recompiling and reinstalling gbib with:
sudo apt-get build-dep gbib
DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="nostrip noopt" sudo apt-get source -b gbib
sudo dpkg --install gbib

Seems to fix this bug. I don't get the segmentations fault anymore.
