Bug Description

Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

Open Epiphany (for ease of replication, use "epiphany-browser -p", but it works in non-private mode as well). Navigate to a site with an invalid SSL cert, e.g., "https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11111". Add an exception for the certificate. In Tools->Plugins, enable the certificate manager. Then click Tools->Manage Certificates. Pick the 'Servers' tab. Attempt to delete the exception.

The dialog that comes up has "Cancel" and "OK" buttons on it, but clicking either of them does nothing; I have to close the dialog window (it's modal), and the certificate exception isn't deleted.

This Bug Effects Me Too! The exact same thing happens to me, its the first real problem I've had with epiphany, but maybe I'm just lucky.

This is a bit roundabout, but you *can* delete specific entries from your cert DB. This involves messing around with the command line a bit, and is far more involved than it should be. That said, the following worked for me.

Close Epiphany, then open ~/.gnome2/epiphany/mozilla/epiphany/cert_override.txt in a text editor, and you should see something like the following:

(Everything from "bugs.freedesktop.org" to the last "==" is one very long line.) Delete the line(s) corresponding to the certificate(s) you want to delete, and restart Epiphany. The certificate exception should be revoked, and you should see the same warning when you go to the relevant page that you did before you added the exception.

We have to wait a time I suppose because extension for manager certificates is still broken under Lucid (see bug 458486) so I can't tell you if I can reproduce it here.
