firestarter not showing events

Bug Description

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 with all updates

I installed firestarter 1.0.3-6ubuntu3 and everything else seems to work fine, it is actually blocking the incoming connections but it is not populating the events tab even if I hit the reload button. I'm not sure what other information is relevant let me know what you need

I've upgraded to 11.04 (Natty) the day support for Maverick stopped and have the same problem since then.
