Bug Description

Binary package hint: brother-lpr-drivers-laser1

I recently installed the brother-lpr-drivers-laser1 and wrapper packages in Hardy for my HL-1240. Everything went smoothly until I tried to print. The margins on the test page are all completely wrong, cutting off much of the page. Printing from other applications seems to give the same same results. I think I've made sure that letter sized paper is specified everywhere. I've gone into localhost:631 directly and checked all settings.

Wow, I had nearly forgotten about this! I retired my HL-1240 a couple years ago, but as I recall what I eventually ended up doing was downloading the Brother drivers directly from the Brother website and I was able to get those to work. The problem had something to do with an inability to change the page size from A4 to Letter and this was causing the margins to be off.
