Mute button light does not toggle

Bug Description

The mute button on my HP NW8240 has a little LED in it, to show if mute is
active or not. This LED stays off all the time.

The key itself works fine (sounds mutes/unmutes as expected).

The only way to control the light is to change the power state of the device,
and currently we don't have the infrastructure to do that. Breezy+1, perhaps.

I've got a Lenovo T510 and upgrading to 16.04 from 14.04 has introduced this bug.
