Bug Description
Launchpad Answers sends email of updates to a question and allows you to add a comment by email.
However, you can't open a new question by email. Creating new questions by email would greatly enhance the usefulness of Answers, allowing projects to advertise an email address for support queries while still using Launchpad Answers.
The project or distro name would form the user part of the email address, making it easy to direct the question into the correct project. For example: Ubuntu questions would go to <email address hidden> or LP questions to <email address hidden>
Potential problems:
- Spam
- Users without LP accounts

I do not think we will ever want to do this. Answers is an end user-driven application which requires workflows to ensure the user has found the best project to ask the question, reviewed the existing questions, and has established credentials to ask a question. No user can use email without going some level of setup.
I prefer to complete the Question API so that projects can provide simple and translatable apps that permit users to ask questions without ever knowing that Launchpad exists.
