Bug Description

Docky is no longer compatible with most upcoming Gnu/Linux distributions. For example Ubuntu 19.04+, Debian Buster, Fedora, Manjaro etc..

I'm filing this bug so I can use this launchpad page for bounty source where I will post a bounty for open source developers to update/make Docky compatible again.

Docky is far superior to Plank in terms of it's features, in addition my workflow as well as theming depend on Docky.

I hope with my financial contribution I can revive this project or at least help make Docky work again for the next few years.

Once I have posted a bounty on bounty source I will update this bug report with a link to it.

Thanks for showing interest in docky. Although supporting and contributing to plank would be way better.

Thank you for your response, much appreciated. I am a big fan of your work and have been using Docky since 2009. I wouldn't mind to contribute money & resources to Plank, unfortunately Plank's engine does not support a 3D image dock background like in Docky.

If such a feature could be implemented, I would gladly contribute funds toward such an effort.

I just posted a freelance job posting to make Docky dock application compatible with modern Linux distributions again. The link can be found here, in case anyone is interested in contributing: https://www.freelancer.com/projects/linux/Make-Docky-dock-application-compatible/
