Bug Description

I have uploaded Gutenprint 5.3.x (synced from Debian Experimental) and it is stuck in cosmic-proposed due to photoprint.

See

http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/proposed-migration/update_output.txt

----------
 trying: gutenprint
 skipped: gutenprint (21, 0, 12)
     got: 16+0: a-3:a-2:a-4:i-3:p-2:s-2
     * i386: photoprint
----------

I have tried to no-change-rebuild photoprint against the new libgutenprint but it failed. As photoprint is not maintained any more since 2010 I think it is not worth it to fix photoprint.

Therefore I want to have it removed from Cosmic.

Please remove both the source package and all binary packages of it.

Nothing depends on it:

----------
$ reverse-depends photoprint

Also no one seems to use it any more as all bugs reported on photoprint on Launchpad have bug numbers < 1000000, so are from long ago.

This is a candidate for removal for sure. In the meantime I have demoted it to -proposed.

I'm still using photoprint and i don't find an equivalent so easy to use.
It they are no bugs is because the application works fine.
