Tried some versions of bcmwl, no one worked, switched to linux-image-4.15.0-23-generic and it worked, can't find a way to make it work in -24 version

FYI: I get same compilation problem also with linux-*-4.15.0-23-generic from linux-generic-hwe-16.04-edge on my 32-bit 16.04 LTS!

Affected me also. To fix it we should download the newer driver that works with 4.15.+ kernels:

wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/restricted/b/bcmwl/bcmwl-kernel-source_6.30.223.271+bdcom-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i bcmwl-kernel-source_6.30.223.271+bdcom-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb

That was the bcmwl driver I was installing to try to fix the problem, it didn't work until I used 4.15.0.23 kernel version instead of 4.15.0.24

Pavel Selivanov solution #3 worked for me as well, but I purged my old drivers first with:

sudo apt-get remove --purge bcmwl-kernel-source
