Bug Description
Would be great to have perspective transformation
capabilities.
A half step could be to be able to transform the
perspective of bitmap objects - even though this isn't
specifically a svg feature/function. To some degree you
can fiddle with paths and other objects manually to
fake perspective, but you cant do this with bitmap
objects. An example might be where you are creating a
product package (box) and you need to put a bitmap on
the side of the box....

I do second this demand, that is (simplier) : allow bitmap
distortion. In node edition mode, for bitmaps, moving the
four corner nodes would distort the bitmap.
I think (but I'm not an experienced developper) that the
code for it already exists in such applications as The Gimp.
