Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
I upgraded from feisty to gutsy (amd64) last week. For this I had unchecked repositories added under feisty like the ones for automatix, skype and miro.
Tonight I wanted to update my repositories (under Synaptic) and tried to activate them back:
- actually I uninstalled Automatix2 then erased its gutsy repository
- activated the skype repository (never worked under feisty - yup, it's a 32-bits app)
- activated the miro repository
On refresh Synaptic displayed this error msg, asking to file a bug report:
'E:Ligne 38 mal formée dans la liste des sources /etc/apt/
which translates "Line 38 ill-formed in ...sources.list / The sources list can't be read"
I forgot to say that after changing the repositories, thru the refresh updates were mentionned as available (update-notifier).
Subsequently launching update-mng lead to the crash described.
Mending sources.list thru sudo gedit fixes the issue (I switched back to the status quo ante minus the Automatix repo).
