Bug Description

Changes in gobject-introspection 1.46.0 to support Microsoft toolchains have eliminated the fix for https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699442 causing FTBFS on a number of packages in Ubuntu "xenial."

Running g-ir-scanner results in an error "ERROR: can't resolve libraries to shared libraries: XXXXX" where XXXXX is the argument passed to --library= on the command line.

any chance you can pick this back up upstream?

F everyone's I: I have a suspicion that this is fixed upstream. I'm going to sync a version from Debian that drops these changes.

If that's not true, we'll have to rebase the patches again and re-propose them upstream.
