evolution does not send emails with attachement files

Bug Description

Hello

since some days (tuesday, at least), each mail sent with evolution and containing an attachment file in PDF format is not really sent. It is saved into my SENT box but it is not really sent (no recipient receives the message).

I do some tests with different file formats and the problem seems to appear only with PDF files (new or old files). The size of the files seems to play no role in the problem.

My config:
- ubuntu 15.04 64 bits
- evolution 3.12.11
- gnome

This seems to be a bug in evolution 3.12.11. Is there any chance of a backport of a newer version? It appears that 3.16 solves the problem.

I have the same problem. In my case any attachment is a problem and sometimes a returned mail without an attachment. Also the search function in the in-box does not work but it does in all the other boxes. My config Ubuntu 15.04.32 bits, Unity desktop.

I have the same problem. It does not affect .pdf files, but does affect .xls or .ods (Libre Office spreadsheet) files over about 25kB.

Running Evolution 3.12.11 with SpamAssassin on Ubuntu 15.04 32 bit.

I have the same issue. Confirmed that the issue is resolved with Evolution 3.16. Linked to Debian and Evolution bugs.

Upstream issue showing "RESOLVED FIXED" on 2015-05-28
Tested ok with 5MB file in Ubuntu 18.04
No reports here for over 3 years so closing as fixed.
