calligraphic poor performance

Bug Description

i run new 0.9.1 on windows7 Pro 64bits and i still found calligraphic poor performance on full screen but if i reduce window size to 800x600 or smaller, it very smooth when drawing, no lag or delay drawing (3d box have the same problem too) i found it only on 64bits version, 32bits work fine

but i found the way out that make me surprise, i change my windows theme to windows 7 basic (no Aero) the problem gone,
i found this issue on both 64bits 0.48.5 and 0.9 pre release then i think may be it time to report

Does hiding the rulers help? You might also want to try whether it helps to improve perceived performance to run Inkscape with Windows Classic theme instead of any Aero-based theme.

Probably a duplicate of performance regression with cairo >= 1.12 already tracked in

(64bit builds of 0.91pre4 use a recent cairo git master build (1.14.1), whereas 0.48.5 and 32bit builds of 0.91pre4 use cairo 1.11.2).

Ah, sorry, I missed that you already found out that Aero-based themes can slow done canvas redrawing (and cause excessive tearing when panning the canvas).
