xorg fails to configure xorg.conf on a Dell E172FP monitor

Bug Description

The array 5 iso, live CD and update via apt fails at installing Xorg on a Dell
Deminsion 2400 using the E172FP monitor.

The monitor just shows, 'can not display this video mode'.

xorgconfig failed to fix the problem.

Please send /var/log/Xorg.0.log, /etc/X11/xorg.conf, and the output of sudo
xresprobe dummy.
