crashes when adding an account

Binary package hint: empathy

Hi,

I'm using Gutsy, and Empathy crashes when I try to add a MSN account.

When I launch it from the console:

david@david-laptop:~$ empathy

I've got the same problem and the masseges from the console are the same.

Installing gnome-telepathy seemed to solve the problem here, can you check if it works for you too?

Yes, It also corrected the problem on my computer after adding telepathy-gonme package..

Maybe this should be added as a dependency ?

I think it's a good idea. At least, the maintainers can put the package in "Reccomends".

After installing telepathy-gnome on final release, I can't add a working Salut account. Can you try it (see bug #156444). You need to backup you existing configuration files, otherwise you may not be able to add you account anymore (like me).
