Bug Description

The following error is reported during the saucy server print server installations with 20130814 images, both amd64 and i386. These images have cups filters of the version cups-filters_1.0.36. Occurs on both preseeded and manual installations.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install utah using
   sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:utah/stable
   sudo apt-get update
   sudo apt-get install utah

2. Now run
udo -u utah -i run_utah_tests.py -i /pth/to/iso/saucy-server-i386.iso -p lp:ubuntu-test-cases/server/preseeds/print-server.preseed lp:ubuntu-test-cases/server/runlists/print-server.run -x /etc/utah/bridged-network-vm.xml

The impacted jobs are:

and

As talked about on #ubuntu-desktop today, this is a problem of the system which generates the images. Updating existing systems works OK.

Maybe if you're going to Conflict with ghostscript-cups, you shouldn't also Recommend it. Just sayin'.

This bug was fixed in the package cups - 1.6.3-1ubuntu2

cups (1.6.3-1ubuntu2) saucy; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/tests-use-cupsfilters.patch: Update to reflect
    the filter list in cups-filters 1.0.36 and fix the testsuite.
  * debian/patches/tests-skip-ipp.patch: Skip the IPP failure for
    now so we can build successfully and fix Ubuntu image builds.

  * Remove versioned Suggests/Recommends on ghostscript-cups (LP: #1212239)
