You can ignore this message and proceed setup.

However, patch is attached for this issue.
Steps for apply patch:-

1) copy attached wifisetupdialog.py file in "/usr/share/hplip/ui4/" folder (Need root permissions)

command: su -c 'cp attached_wifisetupdialog.py /usr/share/hplip/ui4/wifisetupdialog.py'

This fix will be available in next HPLIP release.

Title:
  hp-setup fails with the message "ethernet cable is plugged in" - But
  it isn't.

Status in HP Linux Imaging and Printing:
  New

Bug description:

  OS - openSUSE 12.2
  HPLIP 13.3.4
  HP 7110 wide format

  When I attempt to install the HP7110 for wireless printing, I get two messages at Step 5 of hp-setup:
  The first one tells me that the printer has been successfully connected to the network, and to unplug the USB cable, but the second one (hidden from view unless you notice the little note that there are two messages) says, "The Ethernet cable is plugged in which will prevent you from connecting to a wireless network.  To connect wirelessly, remove the cable and try again. (VSA000)"

  There is no Ethernet cable present, plugged in or otherwise.  I did
  remove the yellow plastic plug from the printer's Ethernet socket, but
  that didn't solve the problem.

  This has happened every time I try the wireless installation and is
  driving me nuts!
