I just received an email from launchpad with subject:

Subject: Launchpad: ubuntu-doc is now a member of ubuntu-newmexico

Hello,

James Bunnell (jamesbunnell) added Ubuntu Documentation Project (ubuntu-
doc) (which you are a member of) as a member of Ubuntu New Mexico Team
(ubuntu-newmexico).

Every member of the group was listed with email address in the To: field of the email address. Surely this should not happen.

One easy way to fix this would be to change our simple_sendmail() function to send one email for each email address given rather than a single email to all addresses. That would also fix bug 44795.

Any objections?

That's right, but I don't think there are many cases in which we want to
send a single email to multiple recipients. Also, most of these cases
(like this bug and bug 44795) should probably be fixed to send one email
for each recipient.

Almost accidentally, this will be fixed as part of my fix for bug 144540.

That other bug is now Fix committed as part of RF 5254. Is there still something to do to close this bug?
