Bug Description

I use Midori to start up automatically in Kiosk mode when I start my Raspberry PI. The problem is that when I start it flashes with a white screen. How can I avoid that.

I guess that happens always when you start Midori. So are there a possiblity to change that?

Regards

Per, I strongly suspect you are seeing a side effect of how Midori loads itself (open tabs, extensions, bookmarks etc.). Coincidentally I am investigating exactly this "white screen" at the moment.

Have you found any solution to the "white screen" problem?

As per my comment relating this to session loading I think André's tabby work will have an impact on this.

After the crash described in "../+bug/1194851", Midori's version changed from 0.5.0 to 0.5.2. But I still get blank white screen on any start-up. The tabs seem to work OK inside Midori; however, they show nothing but the site caption and icon on every tab.
Please fix at least this blank screen bug. Then I'll try not to make Midori perform any twisted tricks in social networks, as I did once.
BTW, there's no opportunity to browse backward with [Alt+LeftArrow] tabs restored with [Ctrl+T]. Is this a bug, or it is just a feature?

I'm not quite sure that it is really the same bug, as when you have to load hundreds of tabs on startup (which tabby tries to fix) - Kiosk mode doesn't store any session information, does it?

[Ctrl-T] could be a privacy problem - i guess thats the reason why it's disabled in Kiosk mode.
(And the [Alt-Left] stuff is probably a bug.)

BTW - do you really have to use the Kiosk mode? Private mode doesn't save any information either, but the stuff you are complaining about works...

I'm sorry for writing this here, because the described stuff does non refer to either hotkeys or Kiosk. Maybe I should open a separate thread for this..
And maybe this thread should nave been read more attentively.
I just wanted to say that restored tabs are losing history of browsing in them. The "previous page" command for certain tab, which just worked on it, does not work again when this tab is closed and restored.
Besides, "the blank screen problem" appears even after reinstalling Midori. And, when reinstalled Midori 0.5.2 started on my system, it once showed the usual screen with speed-dials, but then turned blank again.

Evidently the original description "white screen on startup" isn't as clear I thought.

- I was assuming, you run Midori, it may take a little longer, and there's a period of all white window before seeing your tabs.
- Fernitoid apparently sees a white window after seeing tabs before.

Hello again.
Christian, the original description is partially violated now.
The problem with restored tabs is _separate_ from the problem with absence of shown tab content. But the "white screen" is more important. So, now I'm writing this comment about it only.

White screen (technically, it is an absence of shown tab content) is now shown instead of any tab content anyway. It does not disappear even after reinstallation of Midori 0.5.2. See it on the screenshot attached here. This bug began to appear exactly on the next (and every further) runs after crash with vk.com described in "../+bug/1194851".
André, it seems that I start Midori with no arguments, I just double click its usual icon on the Windows desktop. Midori's working directory is "..\Midori\lib", as it is set to after the installation.
