Bug Description
Fedora 17 x86_64
Deskjet 6540 (yeah, old - but still working)
Overall, the printer works fine with Fedora 17. But with one use case it fails. I tried to print some border less photos on a 4x6 photo paper with Shotwell (Version 0.12.3). As the result, I expect a photo with no white border on any of the 4 sides. But with Fedora 17 (hplip 3.12.6) the printer left always a white stripe (about 2 millimeters) on one side.
If I do the same with Ubuntu 12.04 (hplip 3.12.2) the printed photo has no white stripes. I tried hplip 3.12.6 on Ubuntu and the printed photo is still perfect. So the version of hplip is not the difference :-(
Ubuntu uses cups 1.5.3 while Fedora still uses 1.5.2. So I installed cups 1.5.3 from the Fedora testing repository, deleted/added the printer, but there is still the white stripe :-(
So, my question is, how can I print a borderless 4x6 photo under Fedora 17.
Steps to reproduce:
* Open a photo with "Shotwell Photo Viewer"
* Crop the image to 4x6
* Print
** Page Setup > Paper Size: Photo Borderless 4x6 in
** Image Settings > Autosize: Fill the entire page
** Image Quality > Print Quality: Best
Thx, for your help.
