Plans to package bubakup for Ubuntu ?

I was wondering if there are any plans to package bubakup and make it part of Ubuntu in Universe ?

I also noticed a bug report, what is the delay to look at those / provide fixes ? Not trying to be pushy, "few days" "few weeks" "no idea" are all answer I'd expect.
