Asked by Colin Beckingham on 2009-10-25

Using SVN:

Checked out revision 642.

Tried "make clean", it started configure
...
checking for xgettext... /usr/bin/xgettext
./configure: line 12802: syntax error near unexpected token `0.35.0'
./configure: line 12802: `IT_PROG_INTLTOOL(0.35.0)'

used ./configure --prefix=/usr

same behaviour.

This resulted in the same error detected in a different context, however the errors combined pointed to the fact that inttool was not installed (note, this is a different system setup than the one in my previous questions.)

Inttool installed. autogen, make and make install all fine.

Launch fails on
......
Failed to load StatusIcon
'gobject.GProps' object has no attribute 'tooltip_markup'

Which was identified in an earlier answer as due to svn not requiring a higher level of GTK.
