PPA for BleachBit

Asked by Kevin Vesga on 2009-10-13

It would be nice if BleachBit had its own (official) PPA here on Launchpad. This would make updating easier and it lets you install/update BleachBit using your package manager rather than having to always download DEB files. Would this be possible?

Thanks for the answer as much I don't like it :(

Thanks Andrew Ziem, that solved my question.

Another reason is more selfish. I make a miniscule income from people visiting the BleachBit web site.

Indeed. Can we have a PPA? Thanks

nomnex: no, maybe later

I have bleachbit on my PPA - it's not alone, but the packages included in that PPA are stable.
I can't promise much about always being up to date, but this is it:
https://launchpad.net/~medigeek/+archive/ppa/+packages

I backport the packages based on the Debian ones:
http://packages.qa.debian.org/b/bleachbit.html

Apologies for my ignorance, but what are the syntax for adding your repository to my list, and more important, where is the public key for it?

Kevin Vesga (anonymous-bot) said : #8

@klausner - you do not want to use Radevic's PPA. The BleachBit packages are severely outdated.

For now its best to just grab the DEB files from the BleachBit website.

True :) I have put that in the ppa description: https://launchpad.net/~medigeek/+archive/ppa/
