Differences in Linux between 32bit and 64bit

Asked by ineuw

I noticed that the Options in 64bit version is missing the preferences which exist in the 32bit version installed in Xubuntu 14.04. Specifically, in 32 bit I disabled the "Delete" prompt, and check the web for update. This doesn't exist in the 64bit. Am I doing something wrong?

BleachBit is pure Python code and is architecture independent (especially on Linux), so there should not be 32-bit or 64-bit versions.

If there is no "check web site for updates," then you may have installed the version Ubuntu ships through its repositories. They disable that option, but then they do not provide updates between releases of Ubuntu.

The downloads from https://www.bleachbit.org enable the option "check for updates"

My error, I just don't know why t was installed from the repository, and not from your website. Apologize for bothering you.
