complete nooby needing help with beryl

Asked by e30bmlover

hi there, i have just installed Ubuntu 7.04 for amd 64bit processors. i am so far enjoying my first linux experience. i would like to download beryl and install it, but i dont have a clue! i cant even install the latest flash player so i can view u tube videos. i need someone to explain to me in english what i have to do.. i mean simple terms( if only we had the luxury of the windows installer!)
i can open terminal and thats about it, i know nothing about ''code''. i have done a google search and found a page but when i followed the instructions i messed up the oporateing systems update program!
my system specs are as follows(i know how to enable the nvidia driver)
amd 4400+ x2 (89w) running at 2.7ghz per core.
4x512mb ddr
asrok 939 dual sata 2
msi 6600gt agp8x

if anyone could help me it would be really great, i am beginning to get frustrated!
