Beryl

installed beryl..but effects not on?

Well i got beryl installed..its in apps>system tools>beryl settings manager and i got the emerald theme manager in the system menu...but i don't got the effects on and i'm a total noobie to linux and well i don't know how to make beryl effects turn on i don't see a apply button or nothing like that so i was wondering if a start up code was need to make it run or what..

opps, sorry. Yes you do seem to have beryl-manager installed.

When you run the beryl-manager, do you see a red beryl in your panel near the clock? If so, see if the following is true:

*Right click on beryl-manager
*Click/highlight 'Select Window Manager'

Is Kwin selected? If so then you will have to select beryl as your window manager.

I fixed the problem it was working just needed to turn on when booting up..
