What is bake?

This seems like a silly question, but I can't find any information about this tool anywhere on the internet (including this launchpad site). What is bake? What problem(s) do(es) it seek to solve? What features does it have? How do you use it?

Bake is a build system like autotools/cmake/waf etc that aims to be simpler than these existing tools.
Bake doesn't have a website or written down description of the exact problems it is solving (yet).
You can find the documentation for Bake by installing the .deb package and running:
$ yelp help:bake
or by running the following from the bzr branch:
$ yelp help/
