Possible to change hourly backup frequency?

Asked by Cyberdude

I've been using BiT for almost a year now and it has worked well.

I have the backup frequency set to hourly but would like to have it less frequent, like 2 or 3 hours. I have so many large files to back up that it takes almost 40 minutes to complete a backup. While the backup is being performed my system becomes a little sluggish so I would like to increase the interval of the backups.

Daily backup is no good for me as the laptop is not left on overnight so the daily backup never runs.

In the next release you will be able to set the time at which you like to take the snapshot, would that fix your problem,

otherwise file an [enhancement] bug on our bug page!

Btw, a year! Cool: a true fan! Thanks for your confidence in our application,
you are probably one of the longest users we have now, almost since the first release :-)

Is there anything you dislike after a year of usage?
Or some other troubles that you encounter?

Thanks for getting back to me Bart.

If you mean that in the next version we'll be able to set a specific time like 10:00 or 14:00 then it won't solve my problem.

I would still like frequent backup during the day so for me it would be more useful to specify something like "Do the back up every X hours" where X could be a user assigned value from 1 to 23 for example. If this is what you meant then yes that will be great.

I see you've opened an "Enchancement request" for this so I am marking this as answered. Thanks.
