repository server not available

Asked by alexh

Hi,

I tried to download BackInTime from http://www.le-web.org/... few minutes ago but the server seems not still available.
Is it a temporary unavailable or is it possible to get BackInTime from somewhere else?

Hey,

that depends what kind of distribution you use. For some it is in the
distribution repositories (so you could check those). e.g. for the karmic
koala (ubuntu 9.10): https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/backintime

By the way, thanks for message, the websites of Dan are apparently offline
at the moment. You could probably try again tomorrow.

Cheers,
Bart

Hi,

I already have tried with Karmic Koala version, but it requests python-support 0.9, which is not already fully debugged...
I think I will wait for backintime repository back.
Thanks for the answer.

Alex.

Another possibility is to download the trunk source version (see code,
trunk, on launchpad) and run the makedeb script (that will make the debs). I
am not totally sure what is necessary to build the package, however at least
you need the build-essential package (have a close look at the messages, if
you need something else, it will pop-up). Then you also have the most recent
version!
