Confused. I delete a file then file is included in the newest snapshot?

Asked by JoeZ251

I have several snapshots of my /home directory and if i delete something lets say off my desktop and then run a backup if I look at that most recent snapshot the file i just deleted is still there. How do I get the current to have exactly the same files as when I click back up now and not ones from previous backups?

I was wondering exactly the same thing.

I often drop temporary files on my Desktop (some of them quite large), but I expected that as my snapshots expire (I keep mine for 2 weeks), that those files would only exist on the snapshot that they were present for. I.e. if the file was deleted 2 weeks ago, then it should be gone from all snapshots after the 2 week expiry period.

Should this possibly be logged as a bug?
