Support of FAT32 ?

Asked by Gadget Boy

Hi,

I was wondering if backintime is supposed to work with FAT32 as the backup disk.
If not, it seems that, instead of creating a hard link with the unmodified files, backintime is saving then again.

Best regards

FAT32 doesn't support hard links so this results in full copies of files being made. You should use a drive/partition formated to ext3 or another file system that supports full compatibility. (formaitng a partition will wipe the data, please back up if you do that.)
