Back in Time crashing on Kubuntu 9.04

Asked by Martin Fisher on 2009-04-24

Perhaps I was too quick in marking https://answers.launchpad.net/backintime/+question/68238 as solved. Back in Time is crashing on my fresh install of Kubuntu 9.04. The details are as below. Could anybody who understands this please tell me whether I should report it as a bug on Back in Time, or on KDE, or both. With thanks!

File a bug report as well, let me know the bug number.

It looks like it needs to be repackaged against python version 2.6.

Thanks,

Craig

Filed (Bug #366241)

This happens when the application hide systray icon (at the end of a "take snapshot" process). The "take snapshot" process is not affected. It will be fixed in the next version.

Dan (danleweb) said : #4

This should be fixed in 0.9.24

I have 0.9.24 installed but BiT is still crashing (but not every time). Here are the details of the last crash. Should I post it as a bug? Thanks!

I would reopen the last bug as it did not fix the crash.

Martin Fisher (yusuf-martin) said : #7

I have added the details at https://bugs.launchpad.net/backintime/+bug/366241 but I don't know how to reopen the bug, sorry!
