How to get snapshot to be stored on external HDD?

I use Linux Mint with Cinnamon.
An external USB HDD is connected and can be accessed by the operating system normally. I can copy and paste files.
The HDD is NTFS file system.

When I try to set up "back in time" - which by the way seems to be a nice tool to me - I cannot choose this HDD under "Where to save snapshots". All I ever get to see there is "Computer" and "root" on the left pane.

Please advise. I can't imagine that this would be default.

Please navigate to /media/USER/DEVICE_NAME

I had to change the File Dialog to default Qt Dialog because the native System Dialog doesn't support multi selection. But the Qt Dialog doesn't show the links you're expecting.

Just one more question: I did not get the second part with the QT Dialog. Where is this supposed to be? Could you be more specific, please?
