Using Smart-remove; will all deleted files be accessible to restore?

Asked by odm

I like BIT, because of it's tree like structure and how easily I have found mistakenly deleted files, that I was able to restore.

When using the smart remove feature for backups (as I do), if I look for a file in backup a month/+months/ years later, will all original files be in the backup and be able to be restored? Or, to be sure I have the ability to restore any deleted files to my current system, should I not use the Smart-remove?

I hope I have been clear.

Thank you, for the app.

Oh and yes, I use BIT, for only backing up data files, pics, music, documents, and the like.

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

please take a look at FAQ #2584 for this.

tl;dr: all files which were backed up at the time of creating a snapshot will remain inside that snapshot and you can restore them.

Germar
