Restore a non-root Snapshot using a Bit (Root) GUI

Asked by Harry Wells

Hello All,

I installed BiT and -foolishly- got a snapshot of all my system (Backed up /) as a non-root user.

I want to restore /usr using Bit (Root) and it is not possible to do it. I tried launching Bit GUI as a super user but i cannot seem to find a way to load the snapshot taken by the non-root user account.

Is there a way to perform this task?

Thank you

Hi Harry,

please create a new profile with BIT (root) which uses the same path (where to save snapshots) as your non-root profile. Then uncheck 'Auto Host/User/Profile ID' and change User to your non-root username.

Germar
