Why the dependency from kdesdk?

Asked by jstarek

In Fedora 20, the backintime-kde package depends on kdesdk. This seems a bit excessive -- is this dependency really needed? If not, I'll let the upstream packagers know.

Best regards!

'kdesdk' is a metapackage which contains 'kompare'.
'kompare' is used by BIT to show changes between snapshots. But it doesn't need to be installed to use BIT. I've no experience with Fedora but maybe you can ask the package maintainer to switch this into a recommendation or suggestion.

Can you help with this problem?
