Problem backing up to windows share

I have a windows share, mounted simply using the ubuntu connect to server buttons...
It thus appears as
gvfs-fuse-daemon on /home/pal/.gvfs type fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon (rw,nosuid,nodev,user=pal)
in mount -l.
If I now want backintime to save the backups over there, it only transfers empty folders.
There is no error message or similar, I can manually copy to the share, so permissions should be OK or?
Any help appreciated..
