BiT with Multiple icons, runs when disabled

I am using BiT 1.02 with Ubuntu 10.10. Two things:

(1) When it runs (it is set to run hourly) multiple icons (up to 8) appear in the status bar.

(2) I disabled BiT to check something and noticed, fortuitously, that it is run every hour anyway!

The log files appear to indicate that the backups run without errors, although there are sometimes warning notices appearing next to the status bar.

Are these bugs?
