Awn

AWN loads misplaced (on top of the screen).

Asked by Volnei

Now my AWN dock is loading at the top of the screen, and the icons (launchers) are strained to the left. It begans suddenly and I have no idea on what is the problem, or how to solve it. Could you help me?
A screenshot can be seen here: http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/7828/capturadetelaredimensio.png

I'm using AWN 0.3.2 in Ubuntu Jaunty 32bits.

call the command "gconf-editor", navigate to apps/avant-window-navigator
check the value of monitor_height on the right side, it should reflect your resolution.
If the value is 1024 as example, the panel will be placed at y=1024

Many thanks for your attention, Ralf. Unfortunately I'd tried this and, although the values were correct, the dock was still loading misplaced. This issue was only solved with a complete reinstallation of video drivers (I had to regress to old Ubuntu drivers as instructed in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReinhardTartler/X/RevertingIntelDriverTo2.4 in order to use Compiz).

Now everything is working fine!
